Our team developed, supported, implemented, and managed a large, vendor-supplied, multi-tiered, standards-based system that routed, tracked and processed HIPAA transactions and related data. This system was scaled to support hundreds of thousands of batch transactions weekly. This system was considered a tier 1 (business critical) system. In addition, this team was responsible for several proprietary file formats exchanged both internally and with various trading partners.

  • Designed and implemented full software development lifecycle (SDLC) physical architecture for the standards-based system while minimizing costs. The implementation required coordination with existing onshore and offshore resources for outages in environments, testing, and support.

Senior ETL Consultant/Senior Systems Developer

Our team developed ETL Solutions to provide high throughput data loads and extracts consumed by both internal and external partners. Several of these file formats were both large in width as well as in size of the file.

  • I was the ScrumMaster for a diverse team of data-centric persons and processes. This team consisted of 14 members and encompassed 4 product lines and a dynamic team structure. Scrum process was being developed and incorporated as product delivery continued at a pace that was acceptable to business stakeholders; establishing a successful and comfortable velocity within 10 three week iterations.
  • I utilized Microsoft technologies to provide core services. These include SQL Database Engine, SQL Integration Services, and SQL Reporting Services. These versions ranged from SQL Server 2005 to SQL Server 2014 as the architecture evolved.
  • I worked with the EDI gateway team to design solutions that leveraged various technologies to support real-time transaction processing in addition to ensuring compliance with corporate, regulatory, contractual, and requirements. I was required to be conversant in EDI, HL7, Medicare and general health care termsand acronyms.
